|Veryx Technologies announces MEF CE 2.0 conformance testing for service providers
Veryx ATTEST FT CE2 field test solution accelerates deployment of a new generation of services based on Ethernet technology.
Philadelphia, PA, September 28, 2012 - Veryx Technologies (www.veryxtech.com) announces the availability of the industry's first conformance test solution verifying Carrier Ethernet services for MEF Carrier Ethernet 2.0 specifications in Service Provider networks. Veryx ATTEST-CTS CE2-FT provides verification for both MEF CE 2.0 Ethernet Access (E-Access) Services and Ethernet Subscriber Services.
"Validation of services for MEF CE 2.0 conformance proves to be a costly and time-consuming exercise for service providers and operators when verifying combinations of network parameters and conducting performance measurements in real-time deployment scenarios for different service types. The complexity of testing increases further when the Carrier Ethernet circuits span multiple operators in establishing end-to-end connectivity," said David Charlu, CEO of Veryx Technologies. "The availability of Veryx ATTEST CE2 test suite with built-in automation and reporting capabilities is timely because it results in significant speeding-up of validation and faster deployment of services conforming to MEF CE 2.0.", he added.
In February 2012, MEF had announced the launch of Carrier Ethernet 2.0 (MEF CE 2.0), characterized by three powerful and standardized features: Multiple Classes of Service (Multi-CoS), Interconnect and Manageability. CE 2.0 reflects major new capabilities of E-Line and E-LAN, as well as the addition of new E-Tree and E-Access services, all of which are fully verified by Veryx. MEF CE 2.0 builds further on MEF 9 and MEF 14, which have now been re-branded as Carrier Ethernet 1.0.
In addition to the credibility leveraged from CE 2.0 conformance, service providers are keen to provide support for MEF CE 2.0, since it can provide service efficiency and higher differentiation for their services, closely matching the performance and QoS requirements required for mobile backhaul, leased connectivity to enterprises and cloud-based delivery.
Veryx ATTEST solution consists of a central ATTEST server that acts as a controller typically located at the service providers' NOCs and the needed number of remote probes that are placed at the UNI end points for performing the tests. In combination with ATTEST CTS MEF 9 & MEF 14 test suites and Y.1564 test suite for Service Activation testing, Veryx offers service providers comprehensive, easy and efficient solutions for Carrier Ethernet Service Assurance Testing.
A demonstration of these solutions is being provided at Booth # 620, during the COMPTEL PLUS Fall 2012 Convention&EXPO October 7-10, 2012 at Gaylord Texan in Dallas.
