Veryx adds support for RedHat in Veryx vTAP

November 20, 2018

Veryx Technologies (www.veryxtech.com) announced visibility support availability for Red Hat OpenStack based deployments in Veryx vTAP, enabling comprehensive visibility capabilities for private clouds and data centers used in telecom service provider networks.

With increasing transition to data center and cloud based environments, telecom service provider IT staff are challenged when using traditional monitoring tools for traffic visibility. Physical taps are incapable of effective monitoring for virtual environments, since they cannot monitor inter-VM traffic occurring within hypervisors. Veryx vTAP provides complete visibility of VM traffic in virtual computing environments.

Red Hat has gained popularity among many telecom service providers, as a reliable operating system for network function virtualization (NFV) based infrastructure (NFVI). Veryx vTAP provides complete visibility of traffic originating and traversing the virtual network functions (VNFs) deployed across the service chain, in such environments.

Veryx vTAP also provides support for VMWare EXSi 6.7 in addition to KVM environments. Veryx vTAP controller software provides the capability to orchestrate Veryx vTAPs using vSphere and OpenStack.

Veryx vTAPs in conjunction with existing physical network taps, thus supporting hybrid networking environments where both physical and virtual components co-exist.
